Model Building
I like to make scale models, both kits and scratch built, from a variety of materials. I mostly like to build plastic aircraft models in 1:48 or 1:72 scale, but I have a few creations in wood or metal. I sometimes take classes to learn new construction techniques like MIG and TIG welding or cold-bend hardwood.
Rendering Tests
I used Fusion 360 to create CAD models for a number of class projects, and I always found that renderings of the models enhanced presentations. I wanted to gain more experience using the rendering tools, so I made a series of models using a full range of appearances. Emissive, refractive, and reflective materials were the main focus.
